Our Honeymoon

We spent our wedding night at The Westin in Alexandria and then headed off to Ronald Reagan Airport to catch a flight to Puerto Rico.

We arrived in Puerto Rico to find out that we would be unable to board the Royal Carribbean Cruiseboat. Nestor had accidently left his travel documents in his tuxedo back in Virginia. Luckily, we had purchased travel insurance. So, we spent the next day and a half in Puerto Rico waiting for the documents to arrive. This gave us a chance to see Old San Juan and hit up the beach in Isla Verde.

We finally boarded the plane for St. Lucia, the next port of call, on Tuesday night. The plane was tiny as was the airport, which was literally the size of our apartment. We stayed the night in the most incredible hotel called Coco Palm in Rodney Bay. We would recommend the hotel to anyone. Our room walked right out into a pool.

On Thursday the boat arrived in Antigulla. We spent the day jetskiing and laying out at the local beach. There was an awesome all-inclusive Sandals resort at the same beach.

On Friday, the boat made a stop in St. Maarten. We decided to go snorkeling in Dawson's Beach because Nestor had never been before. It was a great decision because we saw some really neat fish. There were aqua blue fish and glow in the dark fish. We are thinking about purchasing our own snorkel equipment so we will be ready for the next time we go to the ocean.

Saturday was our last day of port, and they had saved the best for last. St. Thomas was our favorite by far because it was the most beautiful island. We went to Maegan's Beach, which is one of the top ten beaches in the world. We quickly realized why, when we got there. The water was completely clear. You could see all the way to the bottom of the ocean no matter how far out you went. You could see clear fish swimming around you without even having to snorkel. Laying out on the sand and playing in the water was the best way to spend our last day on the cruise.

Here are some extra photos on the boat. There was so much to do and see that we didn't get to do it all. We went latin dancing during the night to a live band, mini golfing, swimming, working out, watching the shows, and relaxing in the hot tub. The best part of the cruise was the food!!! The all-you-can eat buffets, ice cream machine, nightly formal dinners, and the room service. We were definitely spoiled.

We were sad to leave the cruise and end our Honeymoon but we knew that we couldn't stay forever. We want to say THANKS to everyone that helped make our wedding day so special. We appreciate all of your hardwork, love, and support.
When we arrived back home we found rose petals and candles leading to our room with a giant heart made of rose petals on the bed. There was chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling cidar waiting for us in the fridge. This was all thanks to Nestor's family. What a nice surprise.
